Fiesta setentera! / 70s Party!
Hace unas semanas fue cumpleaños de un tío y mi tía y le organizaron una fiesta temática de los 70s pues querían recordar su juventud, así que rentaron el salón Las Burbujas del Hotel Arroyo de la Plata y el cual en esa época era una disco muy popular.
Some weeks ago was my uncle's birthday and my aunt organized a 70s themed party because they want to remember their youth, so they rented Las Burbujas a ballroom in arroyo de la Plata Hotel, wich was a very popular discotheque in that time.
El código de vestimenta era de tendencias setenteras, las cuales no tenía muy claras así que me puse a investigar un poco y a buscar inspiración en Pinterest. En algunos artículos que encontré en internet se habla de una época en donde lo que se buscaba era "libertad de vestir lo que uno deseaba, donde y cuando quería"(1976, Clara Pierre). En este periodo van a confluir varias tendencias, desde el movimiento hippie, la moda disco y el movimiento punk a finales de los 70s, así que hay una paleta de estilos muy variada.
The dress code was of 70s trends, and honestly I had not idea of that so I started looking about 70s fashion and some inspiration in Pintrest. In some articles that I found in internet it talks about a period where the people was looking for "freedom to wear what you want, where and when you wanted" (1976, Clara Pierre). In this period several trends are going to converge, from the hippie movement, the disco trend and the punk movement in the late 70s, so exist a very varied palet of styles.
Prendas icónicas de la época fueron las plataformas y pantalones acampanados, los cuales eran tanto para hombres y mujeres; también los vestidos de mangas anchas de estilo bohemio, las prendas satinadas para salir a bailar, los jumpsuit, etc. No hay que olvidar que todo era muy colorido.
Iconic clothing of the period were the plataform shoes and flared trousers, used by women and men; also the dresses with wide sleeves boho style, satin clothes for dancing, the jumpsuits,etc. Let's not forget that everything was colorful.
Después de leer un poco y ver muchas fotos en Pinterest, decidí irme por los populares pantalones acampanados los cuales conseguí con una tía, una blusa blanca de mangas un poco anchas de Clara Oscura, un chaleco en tonalidades morado, verde y negro que me prestó otra tía y unas plataformas abiertas de Capa de Ozono. De accesorios usé unos aretes verdes grandes,un collar de chaquira y una bolsa vintage que conseguí en Clara Oscura. Como mi estilo para la fiesta era un tanto hippie opté por un maquillaje muy natural.
After reading a little and see many photos in Pinterest, I decided for the popular flared trousers wich I got with an aunt, a white blouse with sleeves a little bit wide from Clara Oscura, a vest in purple, green and black lended by an aunt and an open plataforms from Capa de Ozono. Of accesories I used a big green earrings, a chaquira necklace and a vintage purse that I got in Clara Oscura. Like my style from the party was somewhat hippie, my makeup was natural.
La fiesta fue un éxito total! Todos nos divertimos y bailamos mucho! Se sintió el vibe setentero.
The party was a total succese! We all have fun and dance a lot! It felt de 70s vibes.
